Blue Shirt Day

Help support the 2.4 million children that recieve a daily meal at their place of education.

We invite all groups, schools, and businesses to participate in Blue Shirt Day! It is a fun and impactful way to raise awareness and funds for children in the world’s poorest communities.

How You Can Get Involved:

  1. Choose a Day: You can participate on any day. We encourage groups to choose a day in October to align with World Porridge Day (October 10), but we understand everyone's busy schedules. Blue Day can be any day!
  2. Wear Blue & Donate: Encourage your group to make a small donation and wear blue to stand in solidarity with children experiencing hunger.
  3. Share Your Story: Share your photos and stories with us by email or tag us on social media to help spread the word and inspire others.

Why Participate?

  1. Promote Compassion and Social Responsibility: Blue Shirt Day helps people understand the global issue of hunger, fostering empathy and a sense of responsibility toward helping others.
  2. Build Spirit: This event is a great way to bring your school community or workforce together, uniting students, staff, and families around a common cause.
  3. Create an Educational Opportunity: Teachers can incorporate lessons about global hunger, poverty, and the importance of giving back, making this not just a fundraiser but a valuable learning experience for students. Check out our latest video Grains of Hope. A Mary's Meals film about pastoral farming in Kenya and the challenges communities face in accessing food and education.

By participating, your school, community organization, or business can play a key role in supporting education and nutrition for children in need. Every small action leads to big change. If you would like to get involved, please email us. We are happy to provide materials, ideas, and support to help you plan your Blue Shirt Day.
