What we offer
It gets you out of bed in the morning and pays the bills, but are you looking for much more from your job?
Join the Mary’s Meals family and you can help make a real difference to the lives of chronically hungry children around the world.
What we offer
We want our employees to feel valued and engaged so they can contribute effectively to our mission to feed hungry children in their schools.
International roles
We have a variety of roles based outside the UK, and the benefits packages offered for these vary depending on location.
Benefits offered may include the following:
Salary: Our salaries are determined by looking at the full scope of a role including the complexity of work, range of responsibilities and the skills and experience required to undertake them.
Accompanied status: Some posts could be offered as accompanied roles, in which case many of the benefits offered would be extended to include the employee’s partner and dependant children.
Insurances: A variety of insurances may be provided to cover travel, health etc.
Annual leave: From 31 days per year (including public holidays in the duty country).
Maternity: Mary’s Meals operates a Maternity Pay Scheme.
Absence: Mary’s Meals also operates a Company Sick Pay Scheme.
Learning and Development Opportunities: We provide learning and development opportunities for employees such as internal or external training courses, coaching, development programmes and overseas work assignments.
Travel start/end of contract: We will meet the costs of a flight for you and any recognised dependants from your home base to the country of posting. At the end of your contract, we will meet the cost of your flight to your original home base.
Travel home for you and your partner/dependants: Flights home may be provided depending on the length/type of contract, to allow you to maintain links with family and friends in your home country.
Accommodation: Depending on the length of the deployment, we will provide either furnished accommodation or reimburse you based on actual costs up to the host country limit.
Education: For accompanied roles, we may pay education costs for accompanying children. This is normally only covered where there is no appropriate free state education, and where necessary to ensure a portable education in the language spoken by your children.
Rest and Recuperation: In some countries where working and living conditions are particularly difficult, stressful or insecure, additional Rest and Recuperation arrangements are in place. These vary from country to country.
Home Leave: We believe that it is desirable that an employee maintains regular contact with the culture, relatives and friends in their country of origin. For deployments longer than 23 months, you may be entitled to additional ‘Home Leave’.
