Big Family Christmas feeds 10,000 children

Thousands of people from all around the world joined our Big Family Christmas, making this year’s celebrations our biggest and best ever!

Thanks to your generosity, a record-breaking number of places were set at our virtual dinner table and more than 10,000 hungry children will receive the gift of life-changing meals for a whole year as a result.

Our Christmas dinner with a difference featured guests from Sweden to Sri Lanka, Malta to Mongolia, and Hong Kong to Hungary, as people from across the globe gathered – virtually – for a celebration of friendship and family.

Every place set at our Big Family Christmas table offers a child living in poverty hope for a brighter future by enabling them to make the most of their education.

The promise of a nutritious meal encourages hungry children – who might otherwise skip school to work, beg or scavenge for food – to come to class and gives them energy to concentrate and learn so that they can reach their true potential.

Together, we’re bringing a new year filled with hope to vulnerable children in some of the world’s poorest and most hard to reach places – from conflict zones, refugee settlements and overcrowded urban slums, to remote rural communities.
