Pray in May
Each May, we ask churches and people of faith to pray with us to bless Mary’s Meals and the children we serve, as we recognize the special place of prayer in our work.
Since our humble beginnings, Mary’s Meals, named after Mary the Mother of Jesus, has been built on a foundation of prayer and the many little acts of love from those who support us.
Throughout the month of May we invite individuals, churches and faith groups to pray with us, that our work continues to flourish and grow, and that more children throughout the world will see their lives transformed by receiving a daily meal in a place of education.
While we recognize the important place of prayer in our work, Mary’s Meals consists of, respects and reaches out to people of all faiths and none.
Catholic Churches
The month of May is traditionally dedicated to the Virgin Mary, so each year we invite you to consider joining with parishes across the country to pray for the work of Mary’s Meals. Our mission is carried out in Our Lady’s name to feed children a daily school meal in some of the world’s poorest communities. You could support us in one or more of the following ways:
- Include a bidding prayer for Mary’s Meals at Mass
- Pray the Rosary for our work
- Ask parish prayer groups to organize a time of prayer for Mary’s Meals
- Host a Holy Hour

A gift of hope
Our faith-based gift card, which features an inspirational quote from St Teresa of Calcutta, would make an ideal present for christenings, First Holy Communions or confirmations.
There are many different ways you can help by donating your time, money, thoughts and prayers.
